Omni Capital General Policy
Non-RTO Electric scooters/Bikes are becoming increasingly popular. People are choosing e-scooters for their fuel economy, smooth performance and lower environmental impact. Similar to any other two-wheeler, your electric scooter also needs General Policy for legal and financial protection. The main reason behind this is the higher repair/replacement costs of Non-RTO electric vehicles.

Non-RTO Electric scooter General Policy safeguards you against financial losses from damages caused/sustained by the insured electric scooter. It covers theft, own-damages, fires and man-made and natural disasters. This type of General Policy plan is designed with the exclusive coverage needs of electric two-wheelers in mind.
Omni Capital Comprehensive EV Scooter/Bikes General Policy — Complete financial protection including own-damages and personal accidents (injuries, disabilities and death of the rider).
Omni Capital Own Damage EV Scooter General Policy — Covers damages caused by natural disasters, theft, fire, and other incidents.
Electric Scooter General Policy — Mandatory benefit for every owner; not having this policy can lead to heavy damage losses.
Own-damage Electric Scooter General Policy — Financial protection for damages to the electric vehicle; does not cover third-party liabilities; customisable with add-ons.
Comprehensive Electric Scooter General Policy — Complete financial protection against own damage with personal accident cover for the owner-rider.
IRDAI decides third-party General Policy price based on kilowatt capacity. Example: 3 kW but below 7 kW — 3-year policy premium ₹3250.
Cashless settlement is available at network garages. You pay deductibles; we settle expenses directly at network garages.
Is General Policy mandatory for an electric scooter? Not mandatory for two-wheelers with top speed of 25 km/h and power output of 250 watts, but highly recommended for financial protection.
Can I get General Policy for an electric scooter without registration? Yes. Registration number is not required for buying General Policy.
Will my policy cover natural disaster-related damages? Yes. Plans cover floods, earthquakes, typhoons, cyclones, thunderstorms, and hailstorms.
What happens after policy expiry? You are no longer covered and may lose accumulated discounts. Renew as soon as possible to regain coverage.
Claim settlement ratio: 1st year 70%*, 2nd year 50%*, 3rd year 30%* of purchase value without GST.
